생각해보다, 계산하다

 

Do the math.라고 하면 '생각해보면 답이 딱 나오자나(obvious)' '보면 모르겠어?' 같이 정황상 명백하다는 뜻으로 하는 말이다.
do the math 라고 할때는 주로 숫자가 같이 언급된다는 면에서 차이는 있지만, 사실 figure out과 비슷하다.

Off 가 있기 때문에 모두 다 갚는다,지불하다라는 뜻이 된다.
Mortage, debt, credit card debt등을 갚는다는 말이다.

6번만 더 내면 다 갚아. (Payment 는 여기서 매달내는 할부금을 말한다)

 

 

get the hang of

~을 할 줄 알게 되다, ~의 방법을 이해하다.

Hang은 우리말로’감’과 비슷하다. 
Ge the hang of the game이라고 하면 이미 그 게임을 할줄 알지만 전략등을 좀더배워서 좀더 수월하게 할수 있게 되었다는 뜻이다

너에게 ~를 줄것이다와 같은 의미이지만 give 라고 하지 않고 구어체에서는 get이라고 많이 하는것 같다
