Take part in

It means to participate in something.  You are part of something and actively pitch in. For example, when you give your opinion to a poll, you are taking part in the survey. You could take part in the creative activity in your art class.

A recent study showed that people who took part in a daily dance session lessened their symtoms of anxiety, schizophrenia, and even Alzheimer's.

Lift one’s spirits

When something makes you happy and emotionally satisfying, you could say that thing lifts your spirits. However, like many Koreans say,  “A morning coffee lifts my spirit” sounds unnatural because lifting someone’s spirits means not getting more energy. Given that it is often related to emotion and sounds poetic in some ways, you need to describe more about the context when you use this expression with coffee.

Dancing lifts people’s spirits through the release of Dopamine and other pleasure chemicals.

Imagine that you are in a long tunnel. You have no choice but to keep going or turn back to start. You stick to it and endure till the end. That is getting through a situation. It is usually against a problem or a disease.
