무섭고 겁나지만 용기를 내서 감행한다는 뜻이다. 위험하다는 뜻은 아니지만 용기를 낸다는 의미가 들어있다.

아무 설명 없이 take the leap이라고 하면 결혼을 결심한다는 의미로 통하기도 한다. 다른 의미로 쓰인다면 take the leap and ...라고 부연설명을 하는것 같다.

 

참고로 look before you leap 이라는 표현도 있다.
