Elon Musk was joking about his political preferences on Twitter when he tweeted,/ “I’m buying Manchester United. You’re welcome.”/ He later clarified that it was a joke,/ but people were still questioning/ whether the wealthiest person in the world/ was serious about buying the club. Manchester United is one of the world’s most successful teams. They’ve been champions of England a record twenty times/ and Europe three times. In 2005,/ the Glazer family bought the club for 955 million US dollars. But a movement has been growing to oust the Americans/ as the club struggles on the pitch.
