formal한 표현은 아닙니다.  공식적인 경우엔 delay, postpone을 씁니다.

procrastinate와 비슷한 의미이지만 put off는 구체적인 목적어가 뒤어 따라오지만 procrastinate은 그렇지 않습니다.

off the beaten path

잘알려져 있지 않은, 그다지 인기가 없는, 보통 잘 안가는

길도 잘 안닦여져 있고 사람들이 많이 안가는 곳이라는 뜻입니다.
